Love and Eternity: I

I
Day/Night

Every day,

[The horizon glows in morning splendor
does the Sun tease slow with its golden locks?
The nebulous night turned vivid candor
lunar slumber pierced by golden-haired stalks.]

Every night
[That cools the embers of Western setting
crescent smiles sparkle with shining starlight!
That work and toil doused by slumber letting
slip silently in sleep of gentle night.]

Sadness takes flight
[A flutter, a gust of wind billows fast
As with your smile
(the muscles twitch and the mortals tremble)
Happiness alights
the softest feather drops gently at last.]
