Love and Eternity: XXIX

XXIX
“Carols most merry fill the winter air”

Carols most merry fill the winter air
Hail, hail the little angels subtly fair
Rouse the sleepyheads and ring the doorbells
In time to hear the jolly jingle bells
See! Running lights bright in the starry night
The lanterns dot the roads,an awesome sight
Merry prancing pedestrian hopping
Adults, children, cats, dogs, nothing stopping
Still the evening chill cools the advent days
Warming the people from summer ways
Inside, I feel the emptiness creep close
The rush of need that so suddenly rose
Heavy heart shouting solitude to me
Your presence away my eyes clearly see
Once again this Christmas I sorely miss
Until next time, I'm missing my sweet kiss

Love and Eternity: XXVIII

XXVIII
"The Canvas and the Moonbeam"

Fixed, the darkest canvas of night
Once parted these sickly grey clouds
Under them lie a thousand lights,
Radiant sparks on the mystic shroud

Then turns, that fairest body rise
Enters the dame with tame delight
Entrance with beams that daze the eyes
Now seen, her white glorious moonlight

Yes, that high lamp on evening lit
Once the sun withdraws to the sea
Until the dawn fixed above it sits
And stands foremost beacon to me

Never dying, nor ever fading
Deathless the moon rules the heavens
Most charming, forever lasting
Even now, I feel your presence

Escape the flaming gyre of life
That twists and turns my destiny
Escape the discord, endless strife
Riles my soul with obscenity

Now feel the moonbeams caress me
I rest upon my grassy bed
Then eyes closed I can clearly see
Your hand brush lightly on my head.

Love and Eternity: XXVII

XXVII
"If cliches be raised"

If countless cliches be raised then
Love is blind and lovers are blinder
Once smitten, finally fallen
Viciously snared by passion's tether
Even now, that collar has kept
Your thousand multitude of glories
On flowing crimson rivers swept
Unto my beating chest of stories
Divine my love, oh esteemed Seer!
Unite these visions by Pythian trance
Discern now truth that has no peer
Embodied in our intertwined hands.

Love and Eternity: XXVI

XXVI
"Inside plastic cases"

Locked inside plastic cases
Old tickets, antique events
Cherished things, previous places
Kept memories that we've spent
Every time together saved
Dinner receipts and loose change
Impossible odds we've braved
Now preserved for endless age
My case grows full and bulky
Yet memories bloom more so
Still growing red like cherry
On harvest bear fruitful bough
Under the coffeehouse shade
Locked in eternal embrace
Flowers age and petals fade
Only your touch in me stays
Rosy cheek may wither grey
Even gait may bend in time
Vision still keeps in display
Every charm possessed sublime
Roads we've walked and food we ate
Minced piecemeal in my old case
Your letters and our small dates
Living in so many ways
On jewelry, plastic bags
Very expensive gifts too
Even costly shopping tags
Enter plastic case for you
Eden barred from sinful men
Still lives in my plastic case
And still lives on even when
Hairs fade in my ending days.

Love and Eternity: XXIV-XXV

XXIV
"Hers is the drop of dew early morning"

Hers is the drop of dew early morning
Adorn blades of grass turned sudden lustrous
Hers are tears flowing funeral mourning
Snake river-like down widow's mourning cheek
Glisten unbidden of stones most precious
Given native fairness blessed at its peak
She smiles, and the forests yield their branches
The sunlight deigns to send its noon-high beams
As she walks through her forested arches
And sunflowers swivel to catch her view
Of radiance her presence emanates it seems
Aspired by many yet possessed by few
Hers is the splendor that delights the skies
She is Nature in most feeble disguise.

XXV
"It is softest cloth"

It is softest cloth that pampers the skin
By slightest stroke sends shivers of delight
The simplest of touches stoppers the din
It is the glare of noon that numbs one's thought
Blinded thus by rays of highest sunlight
Dulls mulling reason to most mindless naught
It is fireworks that herald each new year
Exploding in sensational fashion
Sparkles and glitters seen from far and near
It is water found in the deepest lake
That reflects cleanly the purest passions
And priests pour purified for one's soul's sake
It is the brush between two lover's lips
Locked in Love's tender and passionate kiss.

Modern Myth: Leviathan

Leviathan

with swallow'd breath I plunge in the Abyss
dive down, swim past the blinding treachery
of light impaled by infinite Darkness
composing the fathomless deep black Sea

such deadly waters with horrors abound
goes fear-filled heart and wearied leg which limps
stutters terrified, movement by dread bound
and eyes that squint, by luck or chance did glimpse

a powerful form that reign'd o'er the deep
expos'd the amber eyes with power shook
awaken'd from state of dreamless sleep
fulfill'd prophecies from hallow'd Book

harden'd scales inur'd from all that harm
chain'd and coil'd like dark medieval armor
possess'd by aura reliv'd in grim charm
with gaze penetrate held thee in stupor

Despair sullies already bloodied claws
Dismay enters observer's fearful heart
Death echoes bitterly from carnal jaws
dismembers Hope and old Virtue apart

rise! now by Scripture's hand do terrorise
land-bound denizens forsake Him on high
for sins innumerable pay the price
thrown past Hellish gates, forever to die

thus roar'd the ruler of the myriad Ocean
Leviathan unleash'd fatal fury
and flames of Phlegethon in swift motion
razed and raged in fiery flame now bury

Pride, Sloth, Lust and wild Wrath foreboding
Envy, Gluttony and Greed been stopper'd
in fields rampaging with fire-breath blinding
by Leviathan was destruction spurr'd

body undulate, crash down the towers
of human Folly inspired to constructs
power imagined crush'd by true power
sinful foundation weak now self-destructs

and punishment from Him above now comes
feel LEVIATHAN and you shall Despair!
Death now beats its melancholy war-drums
Jacque's second childishness now lays thee bare

sinful wretch to oblivion be destined
extravagance leads thee the Reaper's snare
Leviathan judges thee who hath sinn'd
proclaim the final judgement! all now rise!

its awesome jaws unfold, its neck unfurls
poisonous odor from expended breath
horrific glaring eyes glisten like pearls
in manic terror raised pronounces Death

with a snatch leads Man to deadly demise
swallow'd, with Sinful ways recieves his prize.

The Metropolis Series: Part I

PART I
Walking the Pedestrian Lane at 10PM

I walk by stupor slow'd,
out the door and to the night
a glance back bringing sight
lights blaring, glaring
in Darkness illuminating
Modern blinding cacophony
of Sound, Light, and sweeten'd Air
with coldness seeping skin beyond compare
I shudder, return to Night's embrace
warm'd and cool'd by Its gentle grace
Star and Cloud and silvery Moon
far comforting than Modern Doom
in Pestilence not a whit survive
in any form, in any kind
and most pandemic of all that thrive
haggard Sluggishness that Modern world bind
Sloth, that bodily motion it rests
and deems best to movement wane
in luxury's soft caress
action waxed and smitten by newfound bane
walking, strolling, wandering
with Darkness aimless pacing
lift, advance, put down
pedaling, stepping with clarity and vision
brooking no disparity
and focused in one Mission
yet Mission today I had none
no purpose, no plans
i walk, stroll with swinging hands
heading to uncharted lands
of Jungle Metropolitan, at darkest of dark
of Predators pouncing
and Prey unwary in unending lark
in step, I see before
my Path lies, crook'd, narrow, crack'd
like ancient roads of ancient lore
into the fore mysterious and adventure-pack'd
in stroll I length by length transverse
the pathway before diverse
turn left, turn right
forward harch with no end in sight
I see vagrants, in clothing bare
with aimless path approached me near
defiant stoop and wary glare
impose my innards with deathly Fear
yet no purpose of harm intent
a glare mistook for evil bent
melt'd softly to famished discontent
hunger, thirst, yet nothing to spare
rumblings that the stomach growled
retard'd body, mind impair
by Famine's breath unceasing foul'd
I traveled on, and wandered thus
Walker to Spectator of heated battle
male Tongues scarlet inflamm'd discuss
that that self-same field did verily rattle
in Tension palpable between male Constables
on petty Argument built Discord and Strife
small discourse transform'd to brutal Slight
wav'd threatened Harm and blinded Rage
that field became with Anger rife
I deigned to interfere
and pass'd their most detestable woes
pass'd the Peace-Keepers with attitude queer
in keeping Amity red furious War grows
then met I with surprise abrupt
three vagrants of differing height
dirtied by grime and fluster'd with dust
prancing happily in the fullness of Night
in amusement and fascinated delight
I slow'd my pace and watch'd their sight
and heard their Melody ring my ears
three Angels Wingless sing harmonious hymns
then pass'd a conversing couple
in dress well-made, in pace well-hurried
and snatched a fragment not so subtle
a phrase in which that hymn be buried
arrayed in pomp and disdain
with thoughtless glance made remark insane
hear nothing but ominous chatter
see nothing but Monsters in tatters
in Death there be many states
Indifference most callous and lethal fate
in spoken word released dids't decree
Death to angelic Rogues of all degree
gloom awashed I pass'd
In fourth time saddened last
Lo and behold the Modern flame
burning bright with lifeless Life
whence floods of men dids't came
that drown sorrows in drunken flood
inundate the grounded Angels 'round
suffering Angels of Flesh and Blood
roaming, staring into nothingness
desiring Food and Shelter, nothing else
and for whom the death toll early bells
rung by Prey turn'd Predator incarnate
that helpless Predator was hung
by comforted Prey discriminate
with Modern spear brandish'd and fatally stung
Disenchant'd, and weak
Burden'd by a world so bleak
Would that I drown in my sleep
and suffocate in my true Brother's steed.

Modern Myth: Scene I. Garden.

Scene I. Garden.

[Observer:]
Honeybee, from flower to flower flee
Rest thy wearied wings, do let them rest.
Though time is gold, 'tis not golden to me
That drone impassive to thy beauty's best.
Automaton, its verdant cheeks betray
Such envy seeped in most deadly design
And leads thy wings too much astray
Then pales rosy cheeks and splendor divine.
Sacrilege! Yet by sanctity repelled.
Ageless time bears longer o'er beauty bold;
Ancient nature's law forever upheld,
That vibrant flutter turn to deathly cold.
So rest, my dear, stave its roguish hunger
Unceasing while beauty only lingers.
[Honeybee:]
Thy own praticality precedes you.
Do not haste to stopper my flapping wings;
Thine two feet tread within time's self-same shoe,
Doomed calloused footstep in its wearing brings.
For what sense is rest if not senselessness?
That ruins taste, and sight, and smell, and feel
And hears nothing, for rest disdains that stress
Caring none for that which life pains to deal.
Toil as I may and labor as I might
I am not as lost as thy resting soul
That cries for hardship 'gainst that dulling blight
And bothers me in attempts to stay whole.
So watch less and labor more, lazy sloth
Whimper none and work for your worker's broth.

Snippets: Dust to Dust

Dust to Dust

I spring from the dust
of the universe;
From the ashes of stars,
pulsating still.
Breathed life from what once
was lifeless form;
Destined to return to dust once more.

Love and Eternity: XXIII

XXIII
“The bestest thing that ever happened”

The bestest thing that ever happened to me
Happens to be smaller than me
Even so she loomed big in my life
Big as the sun that shined so bright
Everyday we'll talk and chat
Summer heat and badminton practice
Things to pack and food to eat
Everything we could possibly think

Suddenly it seems that all might end
This wonderful thing that came to me
The fights and petty arguments
Hovered over our happiness
In time the fights turned ugly
Never a day without a shedded tear
Giving gloom where once was cheer
Can it be that this is the end
Over a year of ardor spent
Undone by careless cracks and dents
Love forevermore what became of you?
Deadened by indifference
Overtaken by fatigue,
Now we've gone way out of league

Love, don't go
You don't know how much I'll miss you so
Being alone out in the cold
Ever missing your sweet tender soul
You, love, are everything to me
One love that nowhere else I'll ever see

Until time ends my love bears immortality
My soul shall bear it eternally
Your image forever embedded within
Deep in my heart your name sounds
Echoes like daggers that pierce it hard
All I could say, and all I could do
Reminisce about the days I've spent with you
Ending it will be too much
Even now I miss your gentle touch

Sweet love, my love, don't ever go
Against all odds we can survive this woe
Hold me now, until time itself passes so
