Love and Eternity: XXII

XXII
"December Breeze"

My skin shivers in the December breeze
Enter the chill of winter's eve
Ringing bells and twinkling lights
Round each and every house at night
Yonder I see misty mornings of fog and dew
Children frolicking in the Christmas hue
Hand in tow of young curiosity
Radiating warmth, compassion and generosity
In every gift and card we share
Show each other our love and care
Time and again this season comes
Merrily we whistle those Christmas hums
As we pass lanterns of red and yellow
Showers of patterns bright or mellow
Enter homes so inviting and warm
Evenings so pleasant and full of charm
Stirs within each and everyone
A kinship unbound, feeling as one
Harken now, my love, my dear
Keep my love unbidden so near
Open your arms this Christmas time
Hearts melt together in love's warmth sublime

Love and Eternity: XX

XX
"You and Me will Always Be"

You and me will always be
Only with you will I truly be happy
Upon your chest I lay on a cloud
Resting my head, I hear beatings loud
Memories of fingers intertwined
Your hand firmly clasped in mine
On every hour I reminisce
Never shall I forget our continued bliss
Ever shall I remember your warm embrace
Another day goes, everywhere I see your face
No words can express how I feel
Do you recall our conversations still?
On day and night we speak to each other
No day passes that we never bothered
Life's more joyful with you around
Your likeness in another I will never find
Helpless without your passion
At your side I feel my completion
Stay with me, my love, and let's see
Enter each passing day of our continuous journey
Ever as we walk together, you and me

High School, Then: Sudden

Sudden

Where were we?
How could it pass so suddenly?
Are we truly gone for all time
Truly lost, memories of you and mine?

Holding back, I supress the tears
As I cry, and see realized my darkest fears
Prayed for a sign, a chance to make it right
Pleaded for a chance to turn black once more to white

Emptiness is all that I felt
Never imagined what I once strongly held
Exits as friendship is injected
Diminished, by closeness turned to hatred

Try as I might to forget the past
One can't ignore the memories that last
Until all that's lost will return
Still I cry, with tears that burn

Love and Eternity: XIX

XIX
"Embers of Ardor"

Embers of burning ardor
Ever like a sweet day of summer
Sunlight rains sweet beams on us
As dewdrops wet plant leaves at dusk
Hope upon hope piled from early spring
From darling buds burst forth new offspring
On meadow, plain, jungle, plateau
Rainforest and farmland too
Eminence of summer day is seen
Verily compared to love's blossoming scene
Embers glowing, stroked by ardor's heat
Runs deep as two lovers meet
Yearning turns my days to darkest night
Only her gaze breaks dun's might
Upon her chest I lay my head
And listen to heartbeats speak more than words said
None can compare of your hand in mine
Dare I hope we'll stay together forever in time?
My love, as we continue this journey
Ever remember, its forever, you and me

Love and Eternity: XVIII

XVIII
"As The Earth Turns, As The Sun Shines"

Ever as the earth turns
Ever as the sun shines
Still remains this feeling of mine
A feeling nowhere else will I find
Holding on to mere memories
I can't bear to leave behind
My life a book filled with our stories
Divided and conquered
You captured my heart
I felt helpless
Needed your love
Gave me your passion
With ardor inflammed
In our times together
Touched forever my days
Held as long as we could
Over time, drifted, forever apart
Until now, I've tried to forget you
Tried to, and
Yet, was unable to
Our love, sweet love, how could it be?
Ushered forever, in the bleakness of, forgetful memory.

Love and Eternity: XVII

XVII
"A Thousand Shades Of Pale"

Color me a thousand shades of pale
A vain attempt for me to stay hale
Never has red touched my whitened cheek
Time's distant parting has left me weak
Frowns and sighs in shades of gray
On passing become a part of my day
Rosy pink has turned to cold, lonely blue
Golden memories silver into bleakness too
Emerald green painted my envy's passion
Turned dull by myself's self-dejection
Yearning for elusive rainbows
Of cascading colors that erase my woes
Until you return my days foresee cloudy morrows

Here tonight, as the darkness shall permeate
A silver ray escapes and glistens in my eyes
Silver memories I cling to as I forever wait
Even amidst the tear that glints in my cries
Ever I dream of the colors we'll soon create

Love and Eternity: XVI

XVI
"When We Leave"

When we leave, do we leave truly?
Or has passion marked in those we leave
Nuances of an everlasting memory
There to stay for an eternity?
For a memory, a memory marked quite indelibly
Over times together, together spent gladly
Resides permanently within, within thy psyche
Gone temporarily, as if we never were
Emptiness believed to be forevermore
Time constantly clouding forgetful mind
Yet the unforgetful heart still stands
Our final adieu, a goodbye that will never be
Until I die your memory still beats within me

Elicits within me a distant yearning
Emptying my tears I've long held captive
Surely fair darling you to miss me dearly?
As I reminisce your fairness pure, as I fade to the shade
How can time erase this, this love that we had made

Love and Eternity: XV

XV
"Envelop'd"

Envelop'd wholly by fairness pure
Entranc'd surely by charms that stir
Stir within me a passionate flame
Ardor that blinds within all blame
Heats the emotions to a boiling finish
Forever fancy that'll never diminish
Ostensible flings that fail to fill
Reality craves for something real
Enter the calumny and slanders all
Vilifying our ardor's infatuation
Escape the lies that we may not fall
Rescue the passion from destruction

Love and Eternity: XIV

XIV
"Always Yours, Never Mine"

I was always yours,
but you were never mine.
I wiped your tears,
yet you fueled mine.
I offered my shoulder,
you turned your back.
I gave you my all,
you gave me the sack.
I dedicated my heart to you,
and that you decimated too
Yet still, no matter what you do,
I'll always love you true.

Love and Eternity: XIII

"Like Summer Day"

My lover's eyes sparkle like summer day
Eyes that capture my mind and captivate
Light that blights the shadows that come my way
In one's fairness felt a love that can't wait
Stares that stopper my love's hearbeat within
Stars that illuminate the beauty seen
A mischievous grin that fuels my yearning
A soothing voice heard amidst all the din
Justice undone on the hair that you bear
Melodies echo as I hear your step
All troubles swept as I return your stare
Now forgotten the tears that had been wept
A lover so perfect that's not for me
Yet imperfect enough to fall for me

Love and Eternity: IX-XII

IX
"How Speedily Affected, Afflicted"

How speedily are they affected
Afflicted by love Cupid's arrow inflicted
Stung by the passion's flaming darts
Evermore will ardor capture susceptible hearts
Enter a heaven so pure and fine
Untold bliss as I imagine you're mine
Over time this grows my love sublime
You're so intoxicating it must be a crime
Extend your charms to my waiting arms
Vindicate me with your touch that warms
On every day I think of you my mind wanders
Loving you takes all the problems off my shoulders
In your beauty I discover a world of wonders

X
"This Starlit Canopy"

Covering the stars is this starlit canopy
A blanket I'd gladly offer to shelter thee
Night illuminated by the shimmering moon
Tonight I'll take it down for you to swoon
You're arrival in my life has been nothing but bliss
On every night I dream of that special kiss
Under the shade of my window sill
Staring above not of my free will
Every time I see the heavens I think of you
Every night I sleep and dream of you loving me too
Inside my chest lies my beating heart
Loving you every second it can't bear to be apart
Only your image alleviates the pain
Vying for your love I wait in vain
Eyeing you and your every manner
Your graceful walk and silly banter
Over plain, or hill, mountain top, or sea
Under valleys, and caves, no one can see
Her very singularity speaks out to me
As I watch you walking slowly towards thee
Sitting alone I'm waiting for you
Evermore I've loved you oh so true
Every day I've waited for you to say you love me too

XI
"Until The Day"

Until the day I first met you
Many nights I've spent thinking too
A love so powerful it blocks all thoughts
A love impossible and never sought
Soon I learned my dreadful mistake
As I discovered the passion left in your wake
Killing me slowly as I watch you there
All alone I yearn to shower you with care
Your hair flies to the southern breeze
My eyes are captivated; I feel my body freeze
Everywhere I turn now I see
Likenesses wherever my eyes be
In times of loneliness I think of you
Surely you must notice how I love you true
Stop I must from this self-torture
A love for you that I secretly nurture

XII
"Willing Myself"

Willing myself to stop all this
Hating myself for this heavenly bliss
Everytime I remember you I stop and smile
Never noticing the second turn to a while
In rapture I sit in awe of your presence
Soon as I see you all makes sense
Evils large and small exit my mind
Eyeing you now I become singularly blind
Your face is the only one I seek
On Cupid's wings I take a cautious peek
Under the shadow of indifference
Ever have I longed for your sweet caress
Enlightened am I when I reminisce
Simply entranced as I imagine our first kiss
Allured by your looks and your manner too
Held hostage by that beauteous you

Love and Eternity: VIII

VIII
"When Has The Sun Failed To Shine?"

When has the sun failed to shine from above?
Its consistency far removed from the wavering heart
Lives besought with twists and turns of fickle love
Let loose the demons of ardor that tear men apart
Yearning for that damsel fair unyielding
On Cupid's wings men run faster than striplings
Unbound strength exposed by one dearest darling
By romantic piercings his world soon crumbling
Enter the abyss that love soon wrought
Made by thought compounded upon by doubt
In cowardice the weak-willed have safety sought
Now the strong dive headlong to the drought
Evermore has time proven love's fatality
Mortality etched upon each failing romance
Every suffering lead by love's totality
Lifetimes consumed by love's chance and circumstance
In spite the wounds grievous that love may suffer
Succumb many still to the warmth it offers
Straight ahead as all still encounter
Ardor's heat the lifeline that none may flounder
As one takes the plunge into the chasm of passion
Never remember the time of indecision
Never turn back and repulse the vacillation
Enter headlong until you win passion's recognition

High School, Then: When a Poet is a Young Man

When a Poet is a Young Man

When a poet is a young man
He is lame and broken
He has no experience, no deep thought
His shallow impressions fade from memory

When a poet is a young man
He is vibrant and fresh
His mind opens to the wondrous world
He puts conventions aside

When a poet is a young man
He is simple and monotonous
His simple verse and lame limerick
His exhortations cannot excite a birck

When a poet is a young man
He is free to dream
His words exhude the simplicity of life
His abstract lines borne full of ideas

When a poet is a young man
He is inexperienced and unwise
His thoughts are disorganized
He has no outlook, no deep insight in life

When a poet is a young man
His passage through life is a journey worth noting
His traversals endure suffering
His pain becomes ours through writing

When a poet is a young man
He knows none, sees nothing, and writes poor
When a poet is a young man
He knows none, sees wonders, and just writes.

Love and Eternity: VII

VII
"Many A Night"

Many a night I have spent thinking
Everytime I feel the urge of sleeping
Lost I am as to what to do
In all the times I think of you
Souls that yearn for love long sought
Sought long for that love that can't be bought
A simple wish, an utterance
A fervent prayer for deliverance and guidance
Never have I felt this way
Never thought I'd ever see this day
Everywhere I look I see your face
Just a glimpse of you, in many ways
Over time within me the pressure grows
Soon enough the love overflows
Enter the chasm of uncertainty
May our love forever endure longevity
As I try so hard to make you mine
None can stopper my love sublime
All the times we've spent together
Yearning for something that's better
Inside my heart always aches for you
Loving you oh so true
On all the times I stare
Vying for your love to share
Ever have I longed for you
Yet still I don't know if you love me too
On this day I wrote this for you
Unto these lines I profess my love for you

High School, Then: Dead Poets' Society

Dead Poet’s Society

Deliverance from the draught!
Ever stoppered by the oppressive chains
Anger that courses through our pulsing veins
Death stops us not!
Pain is eternal yet at same ephemeral
O'er trials, tribulations, external and internal
Evermore the camaraderie, the friendship we share
Time shall not fade each other's care
Solace we've long sought!
Souls of the divide, united as one
On each other's arms sorrows are gone
Commonplace we seem, yet assuredly not!
In the midst of mediocrity
Ever we live in solidarity
Time may break us apart!
Yet the memories together will forever be a part

Love and Eternity: V-VI

V
"Long Sought"

Men have long sought for that which can't be bought
Everywhere they scour, they search and explore
Looking within for that which can't be caught
In them they find what they are looking for
Simple musing leads them to what they seek

Such a complex thing that this love becomes
A certainty with clear definition
An obscurity to which one succumbs
None who live desire of its conclusion
None want to hear of its ending passing

Ephemeral romances linger still
Just like a sweet and distant memory
Over time, these flings, they still fail to fill
Souls that long yearn for pure love's full fury
Every man's conquest, the love that they seek

VI
"Eyes Lock Fast"

My heart beat stops as our eyes lock fast
An image of you burned within my mind
Never felt this way before; hope it lasts
A love like this I'll never again find
Your smile makes even the darkest day shine

Modern Myth: A Lonely Tree in The City

A Lonely Tree in The City

The lonely tree
That stands on guard
His proud gait and sneering stares
From up high on the citizen blares

They shudder and take cover
From the tree that over them hovers
And plot with evil thoughts
The downfall of the tree that slumbers

With axe in hand and torches alight
They storm the front and go beside
The sleeping tree caught unawares
Was caught by the deadly village snare

After the ravaged wood tree fell
The people sang a thunderous yell
And the tree was carried off to the square
And burned to cinders straight to hell

After such time summer descended
On the village the tree once tormented
And soon the summer heat burned their city
And the villagers realized
what had come to be

An imagined foe
Turned irreplaceable friend
But what’s done is done
The lonely tree is gone
